“Increase in dairy production through the intensification of sustainable production systems in rural communities of Chiapas” (Sustainable Milk), is a project financed by Fomento Social Citibanamex operated from 2022 to 2023 and implemented in 4 communities in the municipalities of Ocozocuautla and Jiquipilas, Chiapas, in the Zoque region of the state.

Our objective is to assist 45 livestock producers to incorporate agroforestry and agroecological practices in their pastures to improve their income from milk sales by reducing their production costs and achieving fair commercial agreements.

Our territorial allies are the company Lácteos del Potrero, who has committed to encouraging a better commercial relationship with farmers who incorporate these good livestock practices; Ecology, Sustainability and Innovation (ESI A.C.) and The Nature Conservancy, who provide technical support and complement investments in the field.
